Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive at Trichy International airport. Meet our representative/driver there. Get driven to Palani for sightseeing. Visit Palani Murugan Temple, Palani Hills, Mariamman Temple.

Then get driven to Kodaikanal. Reach there and check in the pre booked hotel. Then go to visit Green Valley View, Silent Valley View, Kodai Lake.

After the visits come back to the hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.

   

Day 02: Kodaikanal – Madurai

Have breakfast in the hotel. This day there will be full day sightseeing of Delhi. Places of visit includes:

  • Places to visit include
  • Meenakshi temple
  • Thirumalai nayak Palace
  • Teppakulam
  • At late evening, attend the evening ceremony at Meenakshi temple.
  • Then return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
  • Madurai is situated on the banks of Vaigai River. This city is more than 2500 years old and was an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550 A. D. when the Pandvas made it their capital. Modern Madurai is a burgeoning industrial centre even though the vast stretches of lush paddy fields.
   

Day 03: Madurai – Kanyakumari

This day have breakfast in the hotel and get driven to Kanyakumari. Reach Kanyakumari and check in the pre booked hotel. Enjoy the beauty of Kanyakumari, the last point of India. You will be taken to see the attractions there. Later come back to hotel for overnight stay.

Attractions in Kanyakumari

The clean and beautiful beaches are the prime attractions of Kanykumari.There are also other attractions on the beach like the Kumari Amman Temple. Dedicated to goddess Parvathi to mark the spot where the Goddess won Lord Shiva with her penance. The diamond nose ring of the goddess is famous for its dazzling glow. According to popular belief, the goddess protects India by guarding the southern gateway

   

Day 04: Kanyakumari – Rameshwaram

After breakfast drive to Rameshwaram. On arrival check in the hotel.

Rameshwaram is a very important pilgrimage centre of India. The presiding deity is the Linga of Sri Ranganatha, which happens to be one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India. Rameshwaram is also popularly referred to as the 'Benaras of the south'. In order to attain Moksha it is believed that the visit to Rameshwaram is mandatory. Later visit the famous Ramanathaswamy temple. Evening is free for individual activities. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Ramanatha Swamy Temple Rameshwaram, India is one of the major parts of the Hindu pilgrimage. It is believed that the pilgrim to Varanasi is incomplete without visiting this place. It is the temple of Lord Rama and a major tourist attraction down south. Apart from the religious reasons it is also well known for its architecture.

The Temple: Ramanatha Swamy Temple Rameshwaram, India is often referred to as the Benares of South India because it is believed that one attains salvation over here. The pilgrimage of Varanasi is said to be incomplete without paying visit to this temple. The temple contain the parts of Sri Ranganatha, it is among the famous Jyotirlingas speeded all over India. The place is believed to be constructed by Lord Rama while setting out to rescue his better half, Sita.

   

Day 05: Rameshwaram – Kumbakonam

Have breakfast in the hotel and get driven to Kumbakonam. Reach Kumbakonam and check in the hotel. Then you will be taken for sightseeing. Visit famous places like Kumbeswara Temple, Darasuram Temple, Patteeswaram Temple. Later come back to the hotel and stay overnight.

   

Day 06: Kumbakonam – Tiruvannamalai

After breakfast in the hotel get driven to Tiruvannamalai. Reach there and check in the pre booked hotel. Then you will be taken for sightseeing. Visit Gingee Fort, Melmalayanur, Virupaksha Cave. In the evening come back to the hotel. Stay overnight in the hotel.

   

Day 07: Tiruvannamalai - Vellore – Tirupati

This day after breakfast at the hotel get driven to Tirupati. En-route visit Vellore. Visit places like Sripuram Golden Temple, Vellore Fort. Then get driven to Tirupati. Reach Tirupati in the evening. Check in the hotel. Stay overnight.

     

Day 08: Tirupati – Chennai

After breakfast at the hotel go to see the famous Tirupati Balaji Temple. Later get driven to Chennai. Then you will be taken for sightseeing of Chennai. In the evening come back to hotel for overnight stay.

Chennai Sightseeing includes

  • Fort St. George: Built in the 17th century, this fort was built under the supervision of Francis Day and Andrew Cogon and houses St. Mary's Church and a museum. Built in 1680, St. Mary's Church is the oldest Anglican Church in India and has some of the oldest British tombstones in India. It was here that the marriage of the couple who founded the Yale University in the States was solemnized.
  • Fort Museum: The museum has on its display many relics belonging to the times of British Raj in India and exhibits a collection of contemporary paintings as well as the rare military paraphernalia such as weapons, uniforms, coins, costumes and medals.
  • Kapaleeswarar Temple: The biggest temple in the city is a fine specimen of Dravidian architecture. The Shaiva temple has 13th century inscriptions and a 37-metre gopuram remarkable for its intricate carvings depicting stories from Hindu mythology.
  • Sri Parthasarathi Temple: The 8th century Krishna temple was built under the patronage of the Pallavas and enshrines idols of the five avataras of Sri Vishnu. The small temple inside is dedicated to Vishnu's consort, Vedavalli Ammai.
  

Day 09: Chennai - Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram

Have breakfast in the hotel. Then drive to Mahabalipuram. En-route visit Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is very famous for its Silk Sarees. This is one of the seven sacred cities of India. Its temples are spectacular and the gopums can be seen from miles away. Temples to visit include :.

  • Varadaraja Perumal Temple
  • Kailasanatha temple.
  • Ekambareshwara temple..
  • After having visit continue drive to Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. After having quick wash and change have visit of Mahabalipuram..
  • It was the second capital and seaport of the Pallava kings of Kanchipuram the first Tamil dynasty of any real consequence to emerge after the fall of the Gupta Empire. Temples to visit include :.
  • Shore Temple.
  • Rath temples.
  • After having visit, return back to the hotel. Stay overnight in the Hotel.
   

Day 10: Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

After breakfast get driven to Pondicherry. Check in the hotel. Then you will be taken for sightseeing. Place to visit includes:

  • Gingee Fort
  • Museum
  • Botanical Garden
  • Eglise De Sacre Coeur De Jesus
  • Sri Aurobindo Ashram

Later return back to the hotel. Stay overnight in hotel.

   

Day 11: Pondicherry - Tanjore – Trichy

Have breakfast in the hotel. Then get driven to Trichy. En route, visit of Tanjore.

Though the history Thanjavur dates back to the sangam age, it was between the 10th and 14th centuries that Thanjavur reached its zenith becoming the center of Tamil learning and culture. Modern Thanjavur is fertile plain which is often referred to as the “rice of bowl” of Tamil Nadu. The places to visit in Tanjore include -

  • Brihadeeshwara temple
  • Palace
  • Schwartz church

After visit continue drive to Trichy. Reach Trichy, check in the pre booked hotel. Stay overnight in the hotel.

   

Day 12: Trichy

Have breakfast in the hotel. Check out and go for sightseeing of Trichy. Trichy is situated on the bank of the river Kaveri and has always been a seat of power in south India and it bears the scars of wars fought to control it. Places to visit include -

  • Rock Fort temple,
  • Srirangam temple
  • Below the fort, a must is a walk through china bazaar, the big bazaar and down the narrow side streets. After visit as per your International flight schedule get transfer to International Airport. From here catch your flight back home. Tour ends with sweet memories of the Trip.
