After the visits return to the hotel for overnight stay. Red Fort: Emperor Shah Jahan built Delhi's most magnificent monument, the Red Fort and above is the red fort picture . In 1638 Shah Jahan shifted the Mughal Empire's capital from Agra to Delhi. A new royal palace known as Red Fort or Red Fort Delhi (Lal Qila) was constructed. It was begun in 1639 and completed in 1648. The name Red Fort comes from the massive red sandstone walls that surround it. Jama Masjid: It is the largest mosque in India. The Jama Masjid stands across the road in front of the Red Fort. Built between 1644 and 1658, Jama Masjid is one of the last architectural works of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The spacious courtyard of the Jama Masjid holds thousands of faithful. India Gate: India Gate is constructed as a memorial and was built in the memory of 90,00 soldiers who laid down their lives during world war I. Located at Rajpath, India Gate is 42 m high and is popular relaxation area during the summer evenings. India Gate also acts as popular pinic spot during winter. Also known as the All India War Memorial, India Gate was designed and constructed by Lutyens. He was the one who is considered the chief proclaimed in designing the New Delhi plans. | |
Day 03: Delhi – Agra Have breakfast in the hotel and get driven to Agra.Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the world- the Taj Mahal. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire and even today it seems to linger in the past. Not surprising, for the Mughal emperors with their passion for building, endowed the city with some of the finest structures in the world. It is very easy to slip away here through the centuries into the grandeur and intrigues of the Mughal court. Reach Agra and check in the pre booked hotel. Later you will be taken for sightseeing of Agra. Visit includes The Itmad-ul-daulah, Red Fort and Sikandra. You will also be taken to Marble factory to watch the art on marbles. In the evening come back to the hotel and stay overnight. Agra: Agra is one of the prominent destinations of the World Tourism map with three heritage monuments -The Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri & Red Fort. Day 04: Agra – Jaipur Early morning visit The Monument of Love – Taj Mahal (TAJ MAHAL REMAINS CLOSED ON EVERY FRIDAY) After having visit, return back to the hotel for breakfast. Then continue drive to Jaipur. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the “Ghost City”. Its gate, Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world is the main attraction of the town. Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Mughals, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. After the visit get driven to Jaipur. | Day 05: Jaipur
Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan still looks cradled and well protected. Jaipur takes its name from maharaja jai Singh, who in the early 1700s became the king of amber at the age of 13. He soon added architect and astronomy to his credentials. He designed the bulk of his new capital, with its exquisite buildings of rose colored terra cotta, thus giving it the name of "the pink city" with pink and orange the dominant colors, the effect is magic at dusk. After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for an excursion to AMBER FORT in the outskirts of Jaipur. Enjoy the wonderful carvings and minute mirror work on the walls & ceilings. Then you will be taken to visit the rest of the places. Explore the beautiful architecture of HAWA MAHAL, CITY PALACE and JANTAR MANTAR, then go to see the well preserve history in the MUSEUM. In the evening if time permits you will be taken for shopping. Visit Johari Bazar (Gems market). Later return back to the hotel for overnight stay. Hawa Mahal: Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, Hawa Mahal is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur. The palace, part of a huge complex, overlooks one of Jaipur's main streets and was originally constructed to offer women of the court a vantage point, behind stone-carved screens, from which to watch the activities taking place in the bazaar and the surrounding streets. City Palace: City Palace forms one of the most famous tourist attractions and a major landmark in Jaipur. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. Day 06: Jaipur – Goa Have breakfast in the hotel. Then get driven to Jaipur airport to board your flight to Goa. On arrival get transfer & check in the pre booked hotel. The evening will be for leisure activities. Overnight stay in the Hotel. Goa: Variously known as "Pearl of the Orient" and a "Tourist Paradise", the state of Goa is located on the western coast of India in the coastal belt known as Konkan. The magnificent scenic beauty and the architectural splendors of its temples, churches and old houses have made Goa a firm favorite with travelers around the world. But then, Goa is much more than just beaches and sea. It has a soul which goes deep into unique history, rich culture and some of the prettiest natural scenery that India has to offer. Panaji (Panjim) is the state capital located on the banks of the Mandovi River and Vasco, Margao, Mapusa and Ponda are the other major towns. Goa is serviced by an international/national airport located at Dabolim near Vasco. An intra-state and inter-state bus network also plays an important role in getting locals and visitors alike in and around Goa. The vast green expanse of the Sahyadri mountain range ensures that Goa has an abundance of water. The sea and rivers abound in seafood - prawns, mackerels, sardines, crabs and lobsters are the most popular with the locals and the visitors. Day 07: Goa In this day after breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken for sightseeing of Goa. In the evening come back to the hotel for overnight stay. Famous attractions of Goa: SE CATHEDRAL The Se Cathedral is the largest church in Goa and is dedicated to St. Catherine. It was on her feast day, 25th November 1510 that Alphonso de Albuquerque conquered Goa. The church is in the Portuguese-Gothic style with a Tuscan exterior and Corinthian interior. The Cross of Miracles, placed in the cathedral, attracts lot of people. Its bell is one of the oldest in Goa and is called the Golden Bell. BASILICA OF BOM JESUS Located in Old Goa, and built in 1605, this Basilica Of Bom Jesus contains the tomb and mortal remains of St Francis Xavier who was on a mission to spread Christianity in the Portuguese colonies of the East. GOA STATE MUSEUM Goa State Museum has a great collection of Christian art. It also houses Hindu and Jain sculptures as well as Indian paintings of different styles.
