DELHI – AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI – JAIPUR – DELHI

Day 01: Arrival Delhi

Arrive at the New Delhi International airport. Our representative will assist you to get transfer to your pre booked hotel. Check in the hotel at 12 Noon and relax. Get rid of the jet lag. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Delhi: A Transition through Time - As you walk along the narrow by lanes of this city of dreams, tread softly. Every crumbling wall has a story to tell. Every yesterday is replete with history. Rulers have come and gone. The city has lived through wars and resurrection, repeatedly rising from the ashes.

   

Day 02: Delhi

Have breakfast in the hotel. This day there will be full day sightseeing of Delhi. Places of visit include:

  • Visit Red Fort (closed on Monday),
  • Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi... uniquely Indian.
  • Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi,
  • Qutab Minar,
  • Jama Masjid,
  • Humayun’s Tomb.
  • India Gate and drive pass Parliament House & Presidents House.

After the visit return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Red Fort: Emperor Shah Jahan built Delhi's most magnificent monument, the Red Fort and above is the red fort picture . In 1638 Shah Jahan shifted the Mughal Empire's capital from Agra to Delhi. A new royal palace known as Red Fort or Red Fort Delhi (Lal Qila) was constructed. It was begun in 1639 and completed in 1648. The name Red Fort comes from the massive red sandstone walls that surround it.

Jama Masjid: It is the largest mosque in India. The Jama Masjid stands across the road in front of the Red Fort. Built between 1644 and 1658, Jama Masjid is one of the last architectural works of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The spacious courtyard of the Jama Masjid holds thousands of faithful.

   

Day 03: Delhi – Agra

Have breakfast in the hotel and get driven to Agra. En-route visit Sikandra.

After the visit get driven to Agra. On arrival, check in the pre booked hotel. Later you will be taken for shopping. In the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Sikandra is the mausoleum of Akbar. Akbar himself started construction of this beautiful monument. This structure has a perfect blending of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Jain themes. Sikandra is named after Sikandar lodi, the Delhi ruler who was in power from 1488 to 1517.

Agra: Agra is one of the prominent destinations of the World Tourism map with three heritage monuments -The Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri & Red Fort. It is more just a decadent city of graveyards and stones, but it is a vibrant centre of Culture, Art and Religious philosophies that have enriched mankind and shaped human thought over centuries. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on Marvel, Leather Work, Footwear, Brasswear, Carpets, Jwellery, Zari and Embroidery work.

   

Day 04: Agra

Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the world- the Taj Mahal. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire and even today it seems to linger in the past. Not surprising, for the Mughal emperors with their passion for building, endowed the city with some of the finest structures in the world. It is very easy to slip away here through the centuries into the grandeur and intrigues of the Mughal court.

Early morning visit The Monument of Love – Taj Mahal (TAJ MAHAL REMAINS CLOSED ON EVERY FRIDAY) Enjoy Horse Ride in Taj Mahal.

After having visit return back to the hotel and have breakfast. The day will be for sightseeing of Agra. Places of visit include:

  • Itmad-ul-daulah
  • Red Fort
  • You will also be taken to Marble factory, to watch the art on marbles.

In the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.

   
Day 05: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur

After breakfast in the hotel get driven to Jaipur. En - route visit Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the “Ghost City”. Its gate, Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world is the main attraction of the town. Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Mughals, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water.

Then commence drive to Jaipur. Reach Jaipur and check in the pre booked hotel. The evening will be for leisure activities. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Jaipur the capital of Rajasthan still looks cradled and well protected. Jaipur takes its name from maharaja jai Singh, who in the early 1700s became the king of amber at the age of 13. He soon added architect and astronomy to his credentials. He designed the bulk of his new capital, with its exquisite buildings of rose colored terra cotta, thus giving it the name of "the pink city" with pink and orange the dominant colors, the effect is magic at dusk.

   
Day 06: Jaipur

After early breakfast in the hotel, proceed for an excursion to AMBER FORT in the outskirts of Jaipur. Enjoy the wonderful carvings and minute mirror work on the walls & ceilings. Enjoy Elephant/Jeep ride in Amber fort.The rest of the day will be for sightseeing of Jaipur. Explore the beautiful architecture of HAWA MAHAL, JAL MAHAL (from outside), CITY PALACE and JANTAR MANTAR, then go to see the well preserve history in the MUSEUM and BIRLA TEMPLE.

In the evening you will be taken for Ethnic Dinner in Chokhi Dhani. Later return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Hawa Mahal: Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, Hawa Mahal is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur. The palace, part of a huge complex, overlooks one of Jaipur's main streets and was originally constructed to offer women of the court a vantage point, behind stone-carved screens, from which to watch the activities taking place in the bazaar and the surrounding streets.

City Palace: City Palace forms one of the most famous tourist attractions and a major landmark in Jaipur. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. Among the various forts and palaces of Jaipur, City Palace stands apart, with its outstanding art and architecture.

   
Day 07: Jaipur – Delhi

Have breakfast in the hotel. Then get driven to Delhi. Reach there and check in the pre booked hotel. The evening will be for shopping . You will be taken to the famous markets in Delhi like Karol Bagh, Cannaught Place, Palika Bazaar etc. In the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.

     

Day 08: Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel go to see the famous Tirupati Balaji Temple. Later get driven to Chennai. Then you will be taken for sightseeing of Chennai. In the evening come back to hotel for overnight stay.

Have breakfast in the hotel. This day as per your flight timings get driven to Delhi International Airport to board your flight back home. Services from our side end here with Sweet Memories of the Trip.
